Public Spaces - Public Life: Copenhagen 2006

[i]Conference[/i] 28 - 30 September 2006 Conference and study tour A combined conference and study tour. Day one will be an international conference where the new challenges to public realm strategies and city quality will be exemplified by experiences, projects and research from four continents. Days two and three will be devoted to presenting how public space policies have been steadily developed in Copenhagen since the first pedestrian street was inaugurated four decades ago. On each of the two days recent projects will be presented, followed by guided study tours on foot, bicycle, boat and bus to all parts of the city, providing an overview of changes in the city- and streetscape and what is currently underway in 2006.
